Donald Handley

Don was born in Indiana on August 14, 1943. He graduated from Midland High School and continued on to receive an engineering degree from Texas Tech. He was honorably discharged as a Captain from the US Air Force after 8 years of service.

Don was a greeter at Walmart for several years. He enjoyed the arts, writing, and spending time with his family.

Don is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Wellbourne Handley; his father, Dock Hinton Handley, Jr. and his brother, David Hinton Handley.

Don is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dawn Handley; granddaughter, DaLynne Gonzalez; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Adam Wayne, Jr. and Kenzie Edmondson; granddaughter, Chelsea Handley; great- grandchildren , Neveah, Jayden, Ramona, Abigail, Adam III, Andrew, Melanie, Elisabeth, and Trevor, all of Midland, Texas and sister-in-law, Danielle Handley, and niece, Caroline Handley, both of Geneva, Switzerland.

There will be a graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Jim O’Banion officiating.
