Donna E. Blanscett

Donna E. Blanscett, 64, of Midland, Texas passed away September 25, 2013 at her home. She was born June 23, 1949 in Midland, TX to Loy and Winnie Blanscett. She attended Midland High School and graduated in 1967.

Donna was a popular girl in school and always had a big smile and pleasant greeting for everyone. Donna loved to travel and was able to visit such places as Tuscany, Italy and France where she was able to indulge her love of wine. She was actively engaged in the Oil and Gas business in Midland, and had her own services business.

Donna faced a lot of adversity in life but always handled it with dignity, on her own terms. She had a strong belief in God and was prayerful to the end. She loved to bake and cook, especially for family and particularly for holidays. Donna loved animals and flowers and always had a pet. Her pets were treated as personal friends.

Donna is survived by daughter, Taunia Spain, of San Angelo, TX; mother, Winnie Blanscett, of Midland, TX; brothers, Bob Blanscett of Austin, TX, Randy and Russell Blanscett both of Midland.

Donna is preceded in death by her father, Loy; grandparents, Jack and Maggie Blanscett, and I.E. Hartman and Reba Hester Hartman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Bob Porterfield. Services are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
