

Dora was born in Uvalde, Texas on July 15, 1954. She graduated from Big Spring High School. She was married to Frank Hilario on May 25, 1974; they were married for 42 years.
Dora worked as a Caregiver for “Home Instead” for 6 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafting. She was also actively involved in the Midland Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Dora is preceded in death by her father, Inez Velasquez; mother, Carolina Velasquez and son, Javier Velasquez.
Dora is survived by her husband, Frank Hilario; daughters, Carmelita Velasquez Cadenhead and her husband Randy of El Paso, Texas, Vanessa Hilario Mata and her husband Miguel of Charleston, South Carolina; son, Emilio Hilario and his wife Stella Hilario of Severna Park, Maryland; sisters, Maria Velasquez Padilla and her husband Thomas of Big Spring, Texas, Edna Velasquez Gonzales and her husband Manuel of Big Spring, Texas and Janie Sanchez of Milliken, Colorado; grandchildren, Brandika Cadenhead and Bianca Vega, Mayo, Marcos, Miguel Macario, Mauricio Mata, Icsis, Isaac and Elina Hilario; great granddaughter, Isabel Celeste Vega and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and God children.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on August 7th, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on August 8th, 2016 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Fernando Vargas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Ellis Funeral Home.
