Dorothy June Crittenden Driskill

Dorothy June Crittenden Driskill, age 86, of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Dorothy was born in Sheffield, Alabama to David and Bessie Crittenden on April 29, 1934. She moved to Crane, Texas at an early age, and grew up there with her three sisters Norma, Nan and Ann, and her brother David. Dorothy graduated from Crane High School, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas. She married Frank Kindell Driskill on February 28, 1958. They lived in Midland, Texas and they were married until Frank passed away in 1988. Dorothy worked as a secretary for Exxon for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was very active in the UDC and the DAR, holding officer positions in both organizations. She enjoyed watching her sons Frank and Sam play sports as they were growing up. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and spent many happy hours doing genealogy research. She played the piano, enjoyed a good mystery book, and collected Chinese Mudmen and demitasse cups from Japan. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Sam and Barbara Driskill, her sister and brother-in-law Nan and Frank Chaveleh, her sister and brother-in-law Ann and George McMichael, her daughter-in-law Elaine Driskill, her grandchildren Kyle (Emily), Laura and Allison, and a great number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Kindell, son Frank Hugh, brother David, and sister Norma.
