Dorothy Williamson, 90, of Midland passed away on September 7, 2013. She was born on January 3, 1923 in Black Rock, Ark to Lon Dale and Verna Whitford, she was raised in De Queen, Ark. Dorothy married the love of her life J.R. Williamson on March 24, 1944. Together they had three wonderful children. She was a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ, West Texas Chapter of FMCA (Family Motor Coach Association), and of the choir at Christian Church of Midland. Dorothy was a lifetime member and past President of the PTA as well. She was a loyal wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Irene Smith and Betty Bourns.
Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory is her husband, J.R. Williamson of the home; her three sons: Richard Dale Williamson of New York, New York, Stan Williamson and wife Linda of Midland, Texas and Robert Williamson and wife Laurie of Talpa, Texas; her grandchildren: Stan Williamson Jr., Susannah Nicholas, Sarah Davis, Amy Bomar and Zadie Williamson. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren: Rhett Davis, Ada Cate Davis and Garrett Nicholas.
