Elaine Hulan

Elaine (Teague) Hulan went to her heavenly home on December 29, 2010 at Midland Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Elaine was born as Sylvia Elaine Teague in Hobbs, New Mexico on May 18, 1943 to R.D. and Eleanor Teague. She lived almost all her entire life in Hobbs until the last 2 months when she stayed with her daughter in Midland after an illness.Elaine has been employed by Western Motor Company and had retired a few years ago. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for many years.She was preceded in death by her parents, R.D. and Eleanor Teague, and two sons Randy Dean Allen, and Kenneth Dean Allen.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Tony Lee Allen of Hobbs, NM; daughter, Jackie Elaine Thompson and her favorite son-in-law Gary L. Thompson of Midland, TX; and son, Lonnie Hulan of Hobbs, NM; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Mary Lee Blakeley of San Angelo, TX; a brother, Ronny Dee Teague of Hobbs, NM; and a special cousin, Carol Helton of Hobbs, NM. There are many lifelong friends who are going to grieve for her also, among them Richard and Thelma Johnson, Janet Carrasco and Mary Lou Daughtery. Elaine was the most generous person you could ever know, always reaching out to help her friends and family in any way she could, often with a word of advice since she did not have a problem “telling it like it is”. We are all going to miss her down to earth attitude, which often kept us from doing something stupid.

Memorial Services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at Full Gospel Assembly Church 3524 W. Carlsbad Hwy Hobbs, NM with Bennie Greenlee officiating. Family will receive friends 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at the VFW Hall 609 W. Alto Hobbs, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621 Midland, TX 79702. Anyone wanting to send flowers the family requests them to be sent directly to the church after 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 3, 2010.
