Elizabeth A. Arnett

Liz was born June 7, 1949 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Bryan and Charlotte Banister. After high school she graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Roswell, New Mexico. Liz was an extremely loving, caring nurse, who enjoyed what she did and the people she met along the way.

Liz met Coy Arnett. They were married in September 1968. Together they had two children.

Liz overcame polio and it did not stop her from doing anything she wanted to do. She loved music and played the guitar. She also wrote and sang songs. She was a fan of Permian High School football and Texas Ranger baseball.

Liz is survived by her children, daughter Sheila McGill; son Ronald Arnett; grandchildren MarQui McGill, Damon Smith, and Tavor Arnett. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Coy Arnett.

A graveside service for Liz will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
