Farrell Ezell, 85, passed away on January 1, 2014. He was born on March 17, 1928 to his parents Fannie and Morrell Ezell in Meadville, MS. After 31 years, he retired from the City of Midland Fire Department as a Battalion Chief. He was also the ninth paid fire man hired by Midland. He was a long time member of the Midland Moose Lodge and an avid fisherman and hunter.
He married Frances Walker on January 8, 1949 in Natchez, MS. They withheld 65 years of marriage that was full of love and adventure.
He is survived by his sons: Tom and Barbara Ezell, David and Patty Ezell, Billy Ezell; Brothers: M.L., Freddie, and Harold; Sisters: Margie, Helen, Dorothy, and Enez; and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fannie and Morrell Ezell.
Pallbearers will include A.W. DeBerry, LT Ezell, Duane Ezell, Larry Cappell, Bradley Baines, Bobby Builta and honorary pallbearers include Bill Smith and Billy Sparks.
Family visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Resthaven Memorial Park.
