

Faustino was born in Asherton, Tx on October 20th, 1942 to Faustino Cardona Sr. and Ruperta Ramirez. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1963 and proudly served his country till 1966.
On January 29th, 1966, he married his one true love, Alida M. Cardona upon his completion of service to the Army. They moved to a small town Plainview, Tx and started a family. They were married for 52 years.
He worked as a supervisor of the mechanic department of Excel Meat Packing Plant for 19 years. He enjoyed raising his children and all of his nieces and nephews. He was a huge baseball fan! He did have a hard time deciding if he liked the Texas Rangers or the Houston Astros. So he went for whoever was winning the game at the time.
Faustino is survived by his two daughters, Mary Ann Cardona of Odessa, Tx and Danielle and Antonio Guzman of Midland, Tx. Two sisters, Olivia Martinez of Asherton,Tx and Olga and Lupe Martinez of Houston,Tx.
Ten Grandchildren, Bianca Cardona, Fredrico Daniel, Rene Cardona Jr, Ashlynn Castillo, Anabel Guzman, Keithin Castillo, Karmelo Guzman, Kandi Gallardo, Rene Kane Cardona, and Layla’Rae Cardona. Three Great Grandchildren, Zay’Drian Cardona, Autumn Cardona, and Ayden Daniel.
Faustino is preceded in death by his wife, Alida Cardona, his only son Rene Cardona Jr.
His sisters, Minerva Cruz, Virginia Jaramillo, Edilia Sifuentez ,Evangelina Bernal and one brother Rene Cardona.
The family would like to thank Home Instead , Angel Hospice Care and everyone who called, texted or said a prayer.
A memorial service in honor of Tino will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial park, 4616 N. Big Spring Street. Midland, TX.
