She was born July 21, 1926 in Groesbeck, TX to Jess and Rosa Kenner Willard. Faye was next to the oldest oldest of six children. The family moved to the TX Valley and Iraan during her childhood, moving to Lubbock in 1942 where she finished high school.
She met and married RB Bittick in 1945. They moved to Midland in 1948 where they operated a Morton Foods distributorship for nearly 30 years. They had three children in addition to his two daughters whom Faye helped to raise.
RB Bittick died in 1986. Faye was also preceded in death by her mother and father, baby sister Mary Ann Willard, one brother, Jim Willard, and sister Vivian Peters, one son, Ronnie, Also preceding her in death were a twin granddaughter in 1977 and two step-daughters, Joan Bittick and Sharon Hickman. She lost her loving son-in-law, Joey, in 2014. The great love of her life, Johnny Nixon, passed away May 22, 2010. They shared ten wonderful years together.
Faye loved bowling and was Midland Bowlers City Secretary for six years. She worked for 24 years as a Medical Secretary. She enjoyed sewing, planting, wonderful garden vegetables and sharing her vibrant flowers. She loved dancing and was a wonderful dancer. All you had to do was ask! But her greatest loves were her grandchildren.
Upon her retirement in 1992, she joined the Dellwood Line Dancers for six years. They entertained folks in many organizations and loved bringing smiles to faces with their colorful costumes and enthusiasm. At a senior dance, she met her love, Johnny Nixon. They married Jan 8, 2010 in a double wedding with their best friends and enjoyed the fellowship of over 200 at the post wedding dance. Faye was a member of North A Church of Christ for many years.
From her birth family, she is survived by her older sister, Evelyn Beaty and her daughter Gail of Kansas, and loving brother Joe Willard and his wife, Dr. Susie Willard, of Tulsa as well as many nieces and nephews all over Texas.
She is survived by her children, Gary Bittick and wife Jodi, and their daughter Cali, one daughter Patricia Geers, her children,Tara, Keifer, and Caitlin. Also surviving are Tara's husband William, and great grand-children Edward, Logan, Charles, Alexander, Gabriel, Larry, Jayden, and Sandra Marsh.; her other grandchildren Debra Hucks and husband Tim, Sherry Smith and husband Randall, Michael Hickman and wife Ronda and Kelly Hickman and Johnny's daughters Camille and Jonnette and their children and grandchildren also survive.
Memorials may be made to Permian Basin Rehab Center of Odessa, and Veterans organizations of choice.
Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 7 at 9:00 a.m., at Resthaven Memorial Park of Midland. Services will be conducted by Chaplain Skip Hedgpeth of Home Hospice.
