Genita "Shorty" Loraine Wiggins

Genita was born on November 6, 1953, in Andrews, Texas to Flora Ellen Burrow and Allen Watkins. She graduated from Lee High School. She retired from AG Edwards and Sons in 1994. Genita enjoyed riding on the back of her husband Jimmy’s motorcycle until she was no longer able to. She was a very devoted wife, mother and friend who loved people dearly and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Genita was generous to a fault and would do anything for anyone whether they asked or not. She also had a little Chihuahua name Bud Rose who she adored.

Genita was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Watkins and Flora Ellen Burrow; sister, Dalleta Bell and brother, Walter R. Burrow and lastly, her beloved son, Joey Bolin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmy Wiggins of Midland; her children, Kaci Awbrey and her husband, Nathan of Midland; son Brandon Holder; her brother James Colston of Midland; her sister, Judy Holcomb and her husband Steve of Midland; grandchildren, Madison Awbrey, Emily Awbrey, Katie Holder, and Christan Holder.

A "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Ellis-Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, Texas. Inurnment will take place immediately following the Chapel Service at Resthaven Cemetery adjacent to the funeral home.
