Gladys Toller, 83, passed away Sunday, April 22 in Midland Memorial Hospital. She was born August 10, 1928 in Charleston, Arkansas to parents Sam and Lydia White. Gladys moved to Midland with her husband, Jack, and three children in the early seventies. While raising the children, Gladys helped her husband support the family by working at Love's Burger Train. Later in life, Gladys enjoyed her time at home with her grandchildren and loved to entertain the family with stories of days passed. Gladys loved to challenge herself with puzzles and always kept up with sports, especially football and tennis. She has battled a variety of illnesses and injuries in the last decade but had the strength to carry on to become a great-grandmother of three before joining her Lord.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Jack and is survived by her children Jacqueline, Robert and Mary, her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Ellis Funeral Home at 10:00am.
