Gordon A. Kelly

Gordon was born on March 26, 1941. He was raised in upstate New York. He was a proud United States Marine.

Gordon married Judy Emberton on February 27, 1976. They had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Gordon lived for his passion of his work, his family and his friends. He also loved to fish.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel A. Kelly and Sara E. Kelly (Makela); his sister, Margaret Fuller and brother, Phillip Kelly.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy A. Kelly; siblings, Lionel Kelly, Jimmy Kelly, Roger Kelly, and Kathleen Staples; his son, Gordon A. Kelly II and Amy Thompson; daughter, Darral and Bob Morse; daughter, Christine and Mario Carbajal; daughter Dalen Vaverchak and Mark Oliver; daughter, Cynthia and Darrin Bullington; son, Tommy and Carolyn Kelly; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Alamo Heights Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Robert Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
