Guadalupe was born to her parents Clemente and Suzanna Mena, on Friday May 12, 1916 in Glen Springs, Brewster County, Texas.
She is survived by her children Felix Gomez, Julia Vega, Lupe Rodriguez, Ruben Gomez, Eva Costilla, and Linda Gomez, 29 grandchildren, 133 great grandchildren, and 140 great great grandchildren.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Refugio Gomez, a son Juan Gomez and two daughters, Senaida Gomez and Helen Gomez.
Guadalupe was a very loving, kind and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed by her friends and family.
A visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, September 21 at 2:00 PM at Emanuel Baptist Church in Midland.
Pallbearers will be Arnulfo Vega, Ronny Rodriguez, Juan Luis Gomez, Ernesto Natividad, Anthony Costilla, and Jerry Gomez.
