Gwen James

Gwen James, of Midland, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012. She was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma in 1930. She married Jack R. James in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1950. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. A true friend to many. Gwen was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity. Gwen is preceded in death by a son, Reagan James. She is survived by her husband, Jack R. James of Midland; daughter, Susan Gallemore and husband Bill of Colleyville, TX; son, Gary James and wife Brenda of Katy, TX; son, Jack L. James of Keller, TX; Jeff James and wife Kris of Midland; grandchildren, Kelley Arredondo, Jesse and Breanna of Bedford, TX; Christen Gullatt, Kevin, William, and Patrick of Ft. Worth, TX; Brandon James, Sarah of Canton, Michigan; Phillip James of Dallas, TX; Christy James of Houston, TX; Madison James of Aledo, TX; Danie Roberts, Jazmine Cox, Raegan, Braden and Peyton James of Midland. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79601. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
