Helen Lorene (Brown) Mayfield, of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born December 31, 1919 in Midland to Wesley Carson Brown and Bertha (Patton) Brown. Helen lived and attended schools in Midland. She was a member of Kelview Baptist Church. Helen married Henry O. (Dutch) Mayfield on September 22, 1935. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1991 after 56 years of marriage. Helen is also preceded in death by her brother, Cleo W. Brown and his wife Sybil (Bizzell) Brown. She is survived by her niece, Martha Jean Cummins and husband Joe of Midland; nephew, Wesley Ray Brown; two great-nephews, Michael Cummins and wife Jennifer of Tucson, AZ; Douglas Cummins and wife Christine of Plainview, TX; four great-great nieces, Caylei, Nicolle, Kathryn and Jennifer Cummins. Also, Bill and Juanita Mayfield of Lamesa, TX.
