Imogene Hennig Robertson was born in Valera, Texas in 1918 to Velma and William Hennig, and passed away on July 26, 2014. She graduated from Monahans High School in 1936. In 1946, she married Thomas Robertson, Lieutenant, Army Air Corp. Son, Van Robertson, was born while they were stationed in Panama. Captain Robertson was subsequently killed while on active duty during the Korean War. Imogene and Van relocated to Odessa to be near family, where she lived until moving to Dallas in 1990 to be closer to Van. Imogene was a member of Second Baptist Church in Odessa, and Gold Star Wives, an organization for spouses of active duty military who died in service. Imogene is survived by her son, Van Robertson and wife Carole, brother-in-law Johnnie Robertson, nieces Linda Bishop (Bill), Donna Canady (Larry) and Amy Shirley. Graveside service will be August 4 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 North Big Spring St., Midland, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Fallen Patriot Fund (fallenpatriotfund.org)
