Irene Lara Martinez

Irene Lara Martinez, of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. She was born April 3, 1946 in San Carlos, Coahuila Mexico to Juan Lara and Maria De Jesus Luna. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a very loving person to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Lara and Maria De Jesus Luna, three brothers and one sister. Irene is survived by her husband, Ernesto C. Martinez; son, Ernest C. Martinez Jr. and wife Shirley; daughters, Mariza Martinez Bennett and husband Robert; Veronica Martinez Crouch and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Christopher Ernest Martinez, Robert Jonathan Bennett, Bradley Nathaniel Bennett, Jimmy Ray Crouch, Drew Martinez and Kimberly Nicole Martinez; great-grandchildren, Lilly Bennett, Allena Martinez and Genesis Martinez Cano. Rosary will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Edward de Leon OMI officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
