Iris Gladys Morgan

Iris Morgan, 96, of Midland went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Iris was born April 11, 1914 near Blanchard OK to Lemuel and Jessie Mae Moore of Blanchard, OK. She was married to Raymond French and he passed away in 1965. Iris later married Lester Morgan who also preceded her in death.

Iris worked for MISD and retired in the late 1980’s. She was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship until she was unable to attend.

Iris was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia French Morgan, and two sons Jim Morgan of Blanchard OK, and David Morgan of San Diego, CA. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving Mrs. Morgan is: son, Keith Morgan (Bervelene) of Midland, TX; daughters Ann White (Jack) of Phoenix, AZ, Betty Ann Hood of Oklahoma City, OK, a brother Joe Moore (Ruth) of Blanchard OK, and a sister Dell Bailey of Tomball, TX.

Grand children are Gina Opheim (Landon), Gaylan Morgan (Patricia), Alan Morgan and Kris Morgan all of Midland, TX. Great grandchildren are Eric Opheim, Brooke Opheim, Tiffany Simonds, Brittany Morgan, Kara Morgan and Kristopher Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 6: 00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Friday February 18 at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 19, 2011 at 2:00p.m. in the Ellis Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
