Irma Salazar Fuentes

Irma was born in El Quemado, Texas on June 18, 1940. Irma married Juan Fuentes Sr. on July 4, 1955. They married for 49 years until his death. Afterwards she married Bernardino Gamboa on January 2, 2016.

Irma was employed for 25 years at Snowhite Laundry. Irma enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved playing Loteria, watching the Texas Rangers, and watching old TV shows.

Irma is preceded in death by her husband Juan Fuentes Sr, son Juan Fuentes Jr, her parents Isabel and Eulalio Salazar.

Irma is survived by her husband Bernardino Gamboa, her children Rosa Bernal, her husband Saul, Rev. Hilario S Fuentes, his wife Esther, both of Midland, Richard Fuentes, wife Candy of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Ruben Fuentes, wife Lydia of Fort Worth, Texas. Irma has 17 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren, two sisters, Olga and Ermelinda, 5 brothers Raul, Rogelio, Reynaldo, Rudy, Reymundo, Daniel, and countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 7 with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1pm at Ellis Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Pablo Garcia, assisting will be Rev. Hilario S Fuentes. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. There will be a reception following at Primera Iglesia Bautista on 507 N Tyler St.
