Jack Kulbeth

Jack was welcomed into the world on November 25, 1952, to Woodrow and Lucille Knight-Kulbeth, the youngest of their six children. Having been the only child of his five other siblings born in Midland, Texas, he always laughed and said he was the only “true Texan” of his family. Jack graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1970 and attended college in Cisco briefly. His entire career was spent in the electrical supply industry, having worked for Energy Electrical Distribution for the past eight years.

Jack married Kathy Taylor in Midland on July 11, 1987, and for the following 37-plus years, they built a life together with God and their family as the foundation.

Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending as much time with his family as possible, traveling to many events and celebrations to support and cheer on nieces and nephews at whatever interests they pursued. Multiple generations of his family have wonderful memories made special because of Uncle Jack and Aunt Kat’s thoughtful spirits.

Above all, Jack was a true servant to the Lord. He and Kathy often messaged multiple family members asking about their physical and spiritual health, how they could pray for family, and just listened quietly and patiently to whatever issues others may be dealing with at any given time. Jack could make everyone he knew smile and laugh with his jovial humor and calming presence.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Kulbeth, his mother and stepfather, Lucille and Johnnie Kaundart, as well as his sisters Peggy Golden, Virginia Black, and Patsy Bostwick. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; his sister Judy Martin, brother Larry Kulbeth, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends for fellowship before the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
