James Thomas Lott, Sr., 89, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Manor Park. He was born October 26, 1930 in Leggett, TX to the late Pearl Minnie (Herring) and Joseph Calvin Lott.

James proudly served his country in the US Army. He was stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. Throughout the years, he worked as a carpenter, auto salesman, and as an oilfield rep and salesman for El Paso National Gas and was VP of Cardinal Petroleum. He enjoyed hiking, rock collecting, and sports like bowling, basketball, golf, and boxing.

James is survived by his children, James T. Lott, Jr. of Lubbock, Sherilyn Engel of Midland, and Gayette Eicher of Houston and their mother, Gloria Lott of Midland; step-children, Wally Hadley, LeeAnn Hadley and Carolyn Barwick, all of Avinger, TX; and sister, Thermalee Dominy and husband Pete of Huntsville.

Memorial services will be held privately by the family.
