Jazmeen Marie Banda

Jazmeen grew up with a vibrant spirit and graduated from Monahans High School. She later made her home in Stanton, where she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her greatest joy in life—being a stay-at-home mom to her beloved children.

In 2022, Jazmeen met the love of her life, Jeff Sheets, at a barbecue in Monahans. Their love quickly blossomed, and they later became engaged, building a life centered on love, laughter, and family.

Jazzy was known for her radiant personality. Her laugh could light up any room, and it was truly contagious. She loved to laugh, joke, and play around with those she loved. The memories of her humor and warmth will be cherished forever by all who knew her.

She had a deep love for her children and found happiness in playing with them, cooking meals for her family, taking pictures to capture precious moments, and enjoying video games. She also adored her cat, Gem. Jazmeen was a Christian whose faith guided her life and brought her comfort and strength.

Jazmeen shared a special lifelong friendship with Tiffany Rodriguez. The two became friends at the age of 12, and Jazzy always considered Tiffany not just a friend, but a sister.

She is survived by her fiancé, Jeff Sheets; her son, Arian J. Martinez; her daughters, Sefira G. Cortez and Rhya E. Martinez; her mother, Patricia Saunders and bonus dad, Will; her father, Earnest Banda; her sister, Josephine Y. Banda; her favorite cousin, John T. D’Antonio; her grandmothers, Irma Y. Robertson and husband Paul and Alicia Caraballo Cruz; her grandfather, Bill Saunders; her uncles and aunts, Joe Luiz Banda Jr., Kim and Mike Albright, Mel Parkins, Ed Parkins, and John and Cary D’Antonio; and numerous cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Raul Perez and Joe Luiz Banda Sr.; her grandmothers, Reina Perez and Brenda K. Harkins; her uncle, Raul Perez, Jr.; and her aunts, Maria Perez and Dora James.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23rd at 2:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home followed by Graveside Committal at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Sheets, Tiffany Rodriguez, Reishun Brown, and Ron Garcia.

Jazmeen’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
