May 26, 1982 – July 4, 2025
Joel Ramos, born to Maria Sanchez and Raymond Ramos Sr. on May 26, 1982, passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 43. Joel’s life was defined by his incredible love for his family, especially his daughters, Devyn Smith and Kyndall Ramos. He was known to all who knew him as the best dad ever, a father whose love, dedication, and guidance were the foundation of his daughters’ lives.
A proud member of the Stanton High School Class of 2001, Joel went on to work as a Flow Assurance Specialist at ExxonMobil, where he was respected and admired for his professional expertise. But nothing brought Joel more joy or pride than being a loving husband and father. He was deeply committed to Tasha, Devyn, and Kyndall, always putting them first and being a constant source of love and support. Whether it was being their rock during difficult times or celebrating their successes, Joel was always there, 100% present and involved in their lives.
Joel’s loving relationship with his wife, Tasha Ramos, and his role as a father were the cornerstones of his life. Together, they created a beautiful family built on love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. As a husband and father, Joel was the embodiment of loyalty, affection, and devotion.
Known affectionately as “Bulldog” to his friends, Joel had a fiercely protective and loyal nature that made him a true friend and confidant. He was loved deeply by his siblings—sister Terri Ramos, and brothers Steve and Romy Ramos—and his sister-in-law, Krissy Ramos, as well as his extended family, including many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Outside of his family, Joel was a passionate musician, playing drums for local bands Side Piece and Chrome Molly. His love for music was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. An avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, Joel enjoyed spending his free time with the ones he loved, sharing moments that will forever be treasured.
Joel is survived by his daughter, Devyn Smith; his brothers, Steve Ramos and Romy Ramos; his sister, Terri Ramos; his sister in law, Kristeen Ramos; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Tasha Ramos; his daughter, Kyndall Ramos; his mother, Maria Sanchez; and his father, Raymond Ramos Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home.
Joel’s legacy as a loving, devoted father will never be forgotten. His impact on his daughters, family, and friends is immeasurable, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his love will continue to guide and inspire those who remain.
