

John was born in May, Texas, on May 10, 1940, the son of James and Mary Bostwick. He graduated from Crane High School in Crane, Texas. John was married to the love of his life Carolyn (Yancey) Bostwick for 29 years.
John worked as a Civil Designer for the City of Midland for 32 years. He enjoyed Baseball, the Texas Longhorns, talking sports trivia, watching old westerns and his Ford Mustangs. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church where he was a deacon and was also a 31stdegree Mason in the Midland Masonic Lodge.
John is preceded in death by his lovely wife Carolyn and his parents.
John is survived by his son John Cal Bostwick and his wife Pam (Frisco, Texas); daughter Sonya Martin and her husband Les (Midland, Texas); sisters, Peggy Lawson (Abilene, Texas), Pat Williford (Euless, Texas), Carolyn Sheppard (Abilene, Texas); grandchildren Courtney (Bostwick) Andries, Devyn Bostwick, Kolton Cotton, and Kade Cotton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016, at 11:30am with Pastor Andy Hill officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Crane Memorial Cemetery in Crane, Texas.
