

Karen Ivy of Midland, Texas passed away in her home on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Karen is peacefully with her Lord Jesus. The Ivy and Mroczko families are grateful to the Heavenly Father for gracing the earth with this woman who lived vibrantly, loved fiercely and laughed joyously. She was an example of God’s grace as her kind heart and bright smile shared the story of her love for Jesus with all those she met. She loved her family wholeheartedly. Karen was a strong, resilient and truly happy woman who faced each day with confidence and hope, never allowing her circumstances to bring despair, but always looking for ways to brighten the lives of others. She looked forward to the day of meeting her Savior and being reunited with her husband. She was loved and adored by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Norman Hicks of Jal, New Mexico and her husband Doak Ivy of Midland
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Hicks of Jal, New Mexico; her daughter and son-in-law Trena (Ivy) and Jim Mroczko of Nakuru, Kenya; son and daughter-in-law Kenan and Karen Ivy of Tarzan; and grandchildren, Will Ivy of Tarzan, Julia and Josie Mroczko of Nakuru, Kenya, Ethan and Kacie Mroczko Andrews of Orlando, Florida and Jeffrey Mroczko of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Susie Hicks of Rye, Colorado and sister and brother-in-law Janet and James Ellis of Mansfield, Texas, as well as many beloved in-laws, extended family members and numerous close family friends.
