I know ya'll will miss Kathy, but to know she is in a better place makes such a big difference in losing someone you love...REST IN PEACE, KATHY...

I was saddened to hear this news. I took care of Mrs Stewart at the nursing facility she resided in. She was a unique person. She wanted things her way and she let you know how and what she wanted done. I remember walking into her room one night and she had put on her own lipstick. She had it all over her face I smiled and asked her what were trying to do? She said well I had to put on my lipstick. I pulled out her mirror and showed her her face and she looked at me and laughed. I will never forget that moment. We laughed for several minutes. I handed her a tissue and held the mirror for her as she fixed her lipstick. That will be a memory I will never forget and will never forget what she said when she seen herself in the mirror. "Oh my I look like a clown" :) I will never forget that. May you rest in peace and sing with Angels Mrs. Stewart I truly enjoyed taking care of you

Loved Kathy since the fifties.  She and Johnny (the gum man at GCR) were in our first dinner club; we played 42.  I also played bridge with her on numerous occasions.  When it comes to church secretaries, Kathy was great.  We miss Johnny and always will...we miss Kathy so much also.  Love to the family.  Know the kids well.  Especially Celeste Pruitt.  She was an angel to her grandmother Kathy and now an angel to her step-mother, Donice Pruitt. I love the family of Johnny and Kathy Stewart ... all are some of the best friends we have ever had.

A precious and beautiful spirit now rests with Jesus. We will miss her as we sat close to each other on Sunday mornings at GCR. Will miss her beautiful smile and she always dressed so pretty. May God give peace, strength, unity, and grace to the family during our sweet Christian sister's home going.
