Kimberly Rae Culver was born June 27, 1954 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She joined her parents in Heaven on January 15, 2011. Born to Audrey and Max Curry, their family relocated from Hobbs to Artesia, and then to Ft. Worth. While living in Fort Worth, Kim performed at the Casa Manana Theatre in musicals such as Annie Get Your Gun and The King and I. Eventually the Curry family relocated to Midland. Midland is the place where she would meet her lifelong friends and make a life of her own. She continued performing in plays and musicals and dancing in ballets. In pursuit of a career in theatre she attended Texas State in San Marcos. Kim moved back home to Midland in 1976. By 1979, Kim married Lawrence Culver. The two were married for many years, but the marriage didn’t last. Throughout her adult life, Kim continued to work with Midland Community Theatre and Summer Mummers. Kim was a wonderful mother and an even better grandmother. She had a beautiful heart, which made her a great friend. She loved putting others before herself. Not many people carry their childhood friends through life with them, but Kim did. She absolutely adored her friends and family, and didn’t see a difference between the two.
