Lola Marie Moore

to the most wonderful parents, Harvey Melton Rinehart and Maggie Melinda Proctor in the town of Rochester, in Haskell County, TX. She lived there through her early childhood, then her family moved to Midland County in west Texas. Lola attended both North and South elementary schools, Cowden Jr. High, then Midland High School.

She married George Andrew Moore at the age of 16 on April 4, 1953. The family continued to grow with the additions of Katherine Marie (Feb. 6, 1954), Gregory Andrew (April 12, 1955), and Elizabeth Wynell (Sept. 24, 1959). She spent many years as wife, mother, and grandmother, and held various positions in the Midland Church of God, where she was one of the earliest members. In 1987, at the age of 50, she graduated from Midland College with a nursing degree. She worked as a nurse for several years at Permian Cardiology.

While Lola held many titles, her most cherished accomplishment was her life-long relationship with her Lord and Savior. She never let a day go by that she didn’t speak to Him and, for as long as she was able, read His word. She offered wise and Godly counsel to countless family members, friends, and even virtual strangers. She spent time during her final days witnessing to her nurses and caregivers. Finally, she was able to meet Him face to face in the early morning hours of July 1, 2021.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband George, her mother and father, one brother H.M. Rinehart (and wife Dorothy), sisters Pansy Carrell (and husband Edward) and Pauline Roberson (who is survived by her husband Clifton).

Lola is survived by: Brother James Rinehart (whose late wife was Faye), sister Mildred Carrell (and husband Kenneth), her three children Kathy Marcom (and husband Steve), Greg Moore (and wife Rhonda), Beth Masters (and husband Steve); Seven Grandchildren Courtney Fairchild (husband Brian), Jared Glover (wife Mica), Melissa Moore, Kandace Holmes (husband Michael), Geremy Moore (wife Shawndra), Stefanie Masters, and Kimberley Masters; Twelve Great-grandchildren Gavin Moore, Kylea Slone (and husband Shane), Tatum Moore, Brooklyn Fairchild, Bryson Masters, Logan Glover, Brinklee Fairchild, Gavren Moore, Peyton Moore, Damian Glover, Kadyn Holmes, Taylor Moore; one Great-great-grandchild, Lillea Slone; and numerous extended family members.
