

Lou Ann Griffith, 81, of Midland passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born on May 28, 1931 in Carbon, Texas to Archie and Jewell Jackson on a family farm. Lou Ann married the love of her life on January 12, 1952, John E. Griffith. She was a great seamstress and cook as well as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lou Ann was a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Griffith; parents; a daughter Jill Naill and a great granddaughter, Ariana Munoz.
Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory is her daughters, Gwen Gunter of Garland, Texas and Judy Wilhite and husband Dennis of Odessa, Texas; brothers, Bob Jackson of Odessa, Texas and Drew Dan Jackson and wife Bertie of Cisco, Texas; sisters, Betty Jackson of Dallas, Texas and Pat Sims and husband Henry of Graham, Texas; grandchildren: Travis Gunter of South Korea, Robert Wilhite and wife Amber of Odessa, Texas, Amanda Gunter and Ashley Gunter both of Midland, Texas, Kristina Munoz and husband Santos of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, James Wilhite and wife Libby of Odessa, Texas, Rachel O’Donnell and husband Chance of Midland, Texas and Brian Wilhite of Odessa, Texas; great grandchildren: Kelton O’Donnell, Ayva Munoz, Dillon O’Donnell, Santos (“Little Un”) Munoz, Braelyn Wilhite, Ayden O’Donnell, Madelyn Wilhite and Caden Wilhite.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Highway, Midland, Texas 79701. A funeral service has been scheduled for 2:00pm on Thursday, April 25 at Crestview Baptist Church, 301 North Loop 250 West, Midland, Texas with Dr. Larry Ashlock and Rev. Don Norris officiating.
