Louise M. Johnson

Louise Marie Johnson of Midland, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the age of 73. She was born on November 26, 1949, in Midland, Texas where she also grew up and graduated from Midland High School.

Louise will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, and warmth. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. She is survived by her husband Floyd “Shorty”, her child Jeffrey and his spouse Deidre, her grandchild Delaney, her sibling Mike, and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Doyle L. Denny, and mother, Wilma E. Denny (Smith).

She worked in the Administrative Department for Midland Independent School District until retiring in 2014.

Louise was a kind and caring person, who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was known for her love of books and was a talented quilter. She readily opened her home for her friends to make beautiful quilts for loved ones.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center at Manor Park and the Midland Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring Street. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery, 6800 TX-349.
