Mareda Briggs

Mareda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She graduated from high school and worked as a bank teller, where she was known for her kindness and dedication.

In 1973, she met Robert Briggs, and the two were married later that same year in Midland, Texas. Mareda was a faithful member of Abundant Life Worship Center. Her love for God and her church was a guiding force throughout her life, and she found great joy in serving and worshiping alongside her church family.

She is survived by her sons, Travis Briggs of San Antonio, Texas; David Briggs and wife, Armelta, of Aurora, Colorado; and Samuel Perez of Midland, Texas; her brother, Arthur Davis and wife, Carolyn, of Lindale, Texas; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Briggs; her parents, Gilmer and Ludy Davis; her brother, Don Davis; and her sisters, Karen Lann and LaJayne Davis.

Mareda will be remembered for her unwavering faith and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. She will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
