Margie Sue Thompson

Margie Sue Thompson, 80, of Midland passed away on January 12, 2013. She was born on June 8, 1932 in Bruce, Mississippi to James Thomas Reader and Essie Coleman. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother to eight children. She loved the LORD and her church. Margie was the door greeter at her church and never met a stranger. We know that she is in heaven meeting and introducing herself to all the saints.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Aaron Thompson, her parents and siblings and three grandchildren.

Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory are her sons; Michael Aaron Thompson, Gary Lynn Thompson and Shane Ray Thompson all three from Midland, John Mark Thompson from Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughters: Barbara Gayle Hodges, Carolyn Diane Belcher, Candace Regina Briseno and Sharon Larisa Sauls all of Midland. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Ellis Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service has been scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at This Generation United Pentecostal Church, 409 W. Pine, Midland, Texas with Rev. Bill Forrest officiating.
