Mariano Diaz Rendon Sr. and Maria Amelia Padilla Rendon are the founders of the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry.
Mariano is preceded in death by Maria Amelia Padilla Rendon, his first wife of 51 years, and his daughter, Linda Rendon Olgin.
Survivors include his second wife Martha Rendon; daughters, Diana and husband Benny Avila, Yolanda and husband Jaime Spencer, Nancy and husband Jason Ivy; and son J.R. and wife Esmeralda Rendon. Mariano is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Family welcomes friends for public visitation and viewing at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at First Baptist Church of Midland, Texas with Reverend Richard Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial gardens in Midland, Texas.
