Marilyn Jo Williams, 60, of Midland, died peacefully Sunday, September 19, 2010 surrounded by family and friends. Marilyn was born November 13, 1949 in Borger, TX to Clarence L. and Belen Smith. On January 6, 1971 she married the love of her life, Charles “Pat” Williams. After losing Pat on December 26, 2001, half of her heart died as well. “Nana” Gigi, as she was referred to by her grandchildren, was the light of their lives. Their hearts will not be whole without her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Belen Smith; her husband and soul mate, Charles “Pat” Williams. She is survived by one daughter, Tonya D. Martin and husband James; son, Stephen P. Williams and wife Shandi; three grandchildren, Matthew P. Williams, Cidney L. Martin and Landry M. Williams; brother, Clarence L. Smith, Jr. and sister, Barbara S. Dukaj, both of Ponde Verde, Florida; Numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn is also survived by her best friends of more than 25 years, Katy Jolly and Denise Pack. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
