Mario was born on March 23, 1953 in Stanton, Texas to parents Manuel S Castillo and Mary R Castillo. He graduated from Midland High School. He accepted a position with MISD as a bus monitor where he worked for many years and eventually retired.
He married Rosie Rodriguez in 1981 and the couple had one son.
He enjoyed football, bingo and lottery scratch offs. His family and friends will always remember him as a humble but stubborn and lovable man.
Mario M Castillo is survived by his son Manuel M Castillo of Midland, Texas; his daughter in law Crystal Castillo of Orlando, Florida; and his 6 grandchildren, and brother George Romero and sister Rosie Brito.
He is preceded in death by sisters Angie Byrb, Helen Silvas and Margarita Gonzales.
A visitation for Mario will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home and a graveside will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery, 1620 N A St, Midland, Texas.
