Mary Frances Estes Holcomb passed away on November 14, 2018. She was born September 28, 1929 in Abilene, Texas to J.C. and Ruby Estes. She grew up in south Texas oil fields. She moved to Premont, Texas where she graduated high school. She attended University of Corpus Christie and graduated form from Hardin Simmons University. At H.S.U She met John Clayton Holcomb and married in Abilene, Texas on May 11, 1952. From there, she followed her husband to San Diego, California for his service in the United States Naval Forces. Upon moving to Midland,Texas she became an elementary teacher for Stanton I.S.D. and retired after 39 years .She was proceeded in death by her parents, Jake and Ruby Estes and her husband, John Clayton Holcomb. She is survived by her brother, John Estes and sister, Coralea Vance with several nieces and nephews .She had two children, Mary Williams of Lewisville, Tx and Clayton Hack Holcomb of Little Elm, Texas; as well as four grandchildren: Jake and Bo Holcomb, Wendy Wildes and Andrea Morgan. She had three great-grandchildren; John Schlichting, Michael Robertson, and Miles Morgan.
