

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on December 14, 1952 and discharged on June 19, 1958.
On March 15, 1973, Morris united matrimony with Erma Jean Watson.
He was a member of Greater St. Luke’s AME Church where he served as steward, trustee, treasurer, and faithful servant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers, Daniel Mayberry III, Willie Earl Mayberry, and Isaac Mayberry.
By his passing, he leaves his daughter Janet Spiller and her husband Raymond, of Houston, Texas; his son Ricky Dunbar Sr. and his wife Glenda of Midland and his step daughter Bridgett Benson, one sister Gladys Faniel, and sister in law Lottie Mayberry of Bay City, Texas, one brother RT Mayberry of Wharton, Texas, three grandsons, one great granddaughter, and five great grandsons, three step grandkids, five step great grandkids, special friend Ms. Estelle Tolbert and family, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home and also on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Greater St. Luke’s AME Church with the funeral service starting at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend James Greene officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
