Nancy graduated from Rankin High School in 1957 and married John L. Daniel Jr. in 1958. He preceded her in death November 1, 1995. She then married James Sain on November 18, 2008, in Pecos, TX. Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed attending church and was an excellent cook! She enjoyed baking pies (chocolate was her favorite). Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times of the year. Nancy had worked as a secretary in Monahans and Pecos. She served as a cafeteria manager for The Pecos Barstow Toyah ISD. While in Pecos, she was a member of West Park Baptist Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Velma Walker, her first husband John L. Daniel Jr., a brother Robert Walker, and a grandson John L. Daniel IV.
Survivors include her husband, James Sain of Tulia; her daughter, Paula and husband Bill Cole of Pecos; two sons, John L. Daniel III of Big Spring and Jay L. Daniel of Kilgore; a sister, Sue and husband Wayne Terrell of Odessa; a brother: Billy and wife Margaret Walker of New Braunfels; five grandchildren, Christy and husband Hilbert Martinez of Pecos, John and wife Sarai Cole of Pecos, Taylor and husband Kaleb Broadstreet of Dallas, Jason and wife Amanda Daniel of Longview and, Justin and wife Kassidi Daniel of Kilgore; 11 great-grandchildren, Zackery, Nathan, Kayla, Catherine, John Jr., Avery Kay, Hunter, Jack, Austin, Lexi, and Kaslynn; eight great-great grandchildren, Kinsley, Leighton, Blakelyn, Kylie, Reagan, Preston, Braiden, and Caleb, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are four step-children, Rick Sain of Tulia, Cindy Rae of Tulia, Gayla Spencer of Tulia, and Sheila Bice of Tulia; four step-grandchildren, Mary and husband Trace Paske of Roaring Springs, Kristy and husband Ronald Mote of Tulia, Lori Bice and husband Teddy Culwell of Tulia and Cindy Ruth Spencer of Canyon; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday, November 30 and December 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, December 2 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Highway, in Midland, Texas.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 North Big Spring, Midland, Texas with Brother Greer Willis officiating.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home in Midland.
