

Raised in Kermit, Texas, Neva dedicated her professional life to education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Sul Ross University and a Master's degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She served as teacher, principal, and counselor throughout her career and was especially dedicated to Midland Christian School.
She was also deeply involved with her church, Downtown Church of Christ (formerly North A Church of Christ), serving as both a dedicated member and teacher. Her commitment to service extended internationally, where she traveled to and supported Christian ministries in India.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W Cooper, whom she married on May 2, 1951, and by her son, David. She is survived by her children: Glenda Cooper of Irving, Texas; Paula Bayley of Midland, Texas; Bonnie Cooper of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; and Tom Cooper of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sunset International Bible Institute or Eastern Europe Missions.
