Hong was born October 22, 1976, in Battambang, Cambodia, to You Tei Taing and Sok Cheng Lim. At the age of three, Hong immigrated to America with his family during the Khmer Rouge rule of Cambodia. Hong was a skilled machinist and worked at Triple M Machine Inc for 20 years before leaving to start his business venture. With no business experience whatsoever, Hong opened AAA Market Asian Grocery store in July 2015, which instantly became a thriving small-business. Hong truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, a comedian at heart, and spending time with his kids. Hong had an uncanny ability to reach people in a profound and deep way. It gives his family great consolation knowing that Hong will be joining his father in heaven.
