Patricia Benedict Anderson

Patricia Benedict Anderson passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2022. She was the granddaughter of Midland pioneer rancher Thomas Oscar Midkiff and Lillie Davenport. Pat was born on August 30, 1931, in Midland, Texas, and was a lifetime Midlander. She was a 1948 graduate of Midland High School and a proud Texas Christian University Horned Frog. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Don D. (Joe) Anderson. They were high school sweethearts and were married on April 22, 1950, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by her parents Nell Midkiff Benedict and Edwin H. Benedict. Pat was a long-time member of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Midland, Texas and served on the Vestry Leadership Board for many years. She loved her church and was extremely faithful to it. In addition to being the Church Matriarch, Pat was the “Queen Bee” and will be greatly missed by her church family. They fondly remember her as loyal, generous, and a strong West-Texas lady. Pat is survived by her daughter Patrice Anderson Gordon, grandson Blake Anderson Gordon, and great-grandchildren Lilianne Elizabeth Gordon, Travis Anderson Gordon, and Dennis Patterson Gordon of Fort Worth, Texas, along with numerous cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude to care-takers Jay, Matilda, and Faith, who were very loving and devoted to Ms. Pat. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Midland, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6. Reception to follow at her beloved St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 1600 N.
