Patricia Louise (“Pat”) Rendall passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, leaving behind a family who adored her and a legacy of joyful optimism, generosity and meaningful community impact. Pat was born May 24, 1932, to Ed and Cora Moore and was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Midwestern State University, where she met the love of her life, Robert V. (“Rudy”) Rendall. They married on August 2, 1952, beginning a 70-year partnership marked by mutual devotion, shared faith, hospitality, and dedication to family and community.
Pat’s calling to teach and care for children was evident in every season and facet of her life. At home, she was a loving mother whose warmth made so many feel welcome, valued, and part of her family. She invested deeply in the lives of her grandchildren through her consistent presence (“together time”) and found genuine joy in their lives, accomplishments, and milestones.
Within the Midland community, Pat co-founded Covenant Presbyterian Preschool and Daycare Center and faithfully served at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Mission for many years, reading to children, playing her ukulele, and lovingly preparing snacks. Her life of service extended to Grace Presbyterian Church, where she served as both a Deacon and Elder, as well as in the children’s ministry, and where her faith remained a guiding foundation throughout her life.
Pat and Rudy shared many treasured memories with family and friends in Cloudcroft, NM, where they owned a cabin for many years. Thoughtful and reliable, Pat cultivated many fulfilling lifelong friendships and counted traveling, bird-watching, water aerobics and reading amongst her many hobbies.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudy Rendall, and her sister, Shirley Moore. She is survived by her children, Robert V. Rendall, Jr. and wife Jackie of Austin; Greg Rendall and wife Nanette of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and Elizabeth Lee and husband Bobby of Midland. She will be dearly missed by her eight grandchildren — Scott Ogilvie (Ruth) of St. Louis, Missouri; Margaret Franks (Tanner) of Edmond, Oklahoma; Ryan Rendall of Chicago, Illinois; Melissa Risner (Tyler) of Houston, Texas; Amanda Lee of Midland; Callie Keirstead (Kenny) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Patrick Lee (Josie) of Midland; and Anna Lee of Midland — as well as her nine great-grandchildren: Hannah and Henry Franks, Mara Ogilvie, Ellie, Emme, and Ivy Lee, Lacy and Louisa Risner, and Gemma Keirstead, all of whom brought her tremendous joy. She is also survived by her nieces, Tracy Anderson of Laramie, Wyoming and Lynn Green of Rockport, Texas.
The family expresses special gratitude to Christie Mendoza, Amanda Lee, and Rosy Mendoza for the loving care, compassion, and companionship they provided during Pat’s final years.
The family will gather for a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Midland, 911 W. Texas Avenue, Midland, Texas 79701.
