Patsy Jane Hahn went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the 23rd of June, 2013. She was born to Guy Chapman and Mary Lewis Chapman on May 31, 1930, in Fayette, Missouri. After growing up in Fayette, she married Glenn Walter Hahn on November 25, 1953, in Columbia, Missouri. Soon afterward, they moved to Providence, Rhode Island, where their children were born. They then spent an adventurous year in Canberra, Australia, before returning to Columbia, Missouri in 1963.
Patsy worked at the University of Missouri, Ellis Library, in Columbia for 18 years. After retiring in 1990, Patsy and Glenn lived for a short time in Carlsbad, NM. After the death of her husband, she moved to Midland, Texas to be near her daughter and family.
Patsy was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and deeply enjoyed the fellowship of her Sunday School class. She also loved reading and was a volunteer at the Midland County Library for over 10 years. Nothing made her happier than supporting her only grandchild, Beth, in her many activities at Trinity School and Baylor University.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Walter Hahn, and her son, David Walter Hahn. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Webster, and her husband, George, of Midland, Texas, and her granddaughter, Beth Webster, of Waco, Texas.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Patsy will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at All Saints’ Chapel at Trinity School, 3500 W. Wadley, Midland, Texas. Interment will be at the City Cemetery, Rocheport, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patsy may be made to Trinity School of Midland.
