

Peggy Lou Livingston, 88, was born on July 30, 1930 in Bonner Springs, Kansas to Jess and Gertrude DeMaranville. She passed away in her sleep on August 28, 2018 in Midland, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, DH Livingston and three sons, Russell (Wife Toni), Richard and Glenn, three grandchildren, Ryan (wife Kimberly), Whitney and Taylor and one Great Grandchild, Elise Joann.
Peggy was the second of eight children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Gertrude DeMaranville, sister Wilma DeLong, sister Alpha Runge and sister Sue Surber. She is survived by her sisters Leah Hays, Irma Mingham and Lynn Horn and brother Bud Demaranville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Peggy and DH met at church in Rodeo, California and married while DH was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge he brought his family back to Midland where they lived the majority of their married life. She was an avid reader and read the Bible through numerous times in her retirement years.
Peggy devoted most of her adult life to the care of children. She worked in the nursery of Crestview Baptist Church and kept children in her home for nearly 40 years. It has been said that she was a “professional potty trainer.” Her humor, wisdom and faith will be greatly missed by her family and those around her.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Midland and Senior Care of Midland for their care and service. Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home of Midland.
Graveside services are planned for 10:00 AM Thursday August 31, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Park and memorial service at 1:00 PM at Crestview Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Daniel officiating.
