I got to know Rand on the golf course. He would come to me when he needed his swing adjusted, which sometimes was twice a week. We would play at Green Tree or Nueva Vista and I could never beat him because he would adjust his strokes to how he played that day! Great laugh, great attitude about life. You will be missed at both golf courses. RIP my friend.

Leaving a heart heavy goodbye to Rand, who was my step dad, but was the man who I called Dad. I'm thankful to have had him in my life. . . Thank you for caring about us, Dad, and for all that you did. You gave us a good life, a really good life. Thank you. .. One of my favorite things about him was that big laugh, from the belly, when poking fun at something or someone - even of me! I would get so irritated sometimes when I was a kid. But now I look back at it and laugh too. In fact, I carry it with me. When I feel down, I find the humor in it, and in myself, and carry on. ... Goodbye Dad. I wish I could have told you these things. I hope you knew. I love you. B

Rand was a wonderful Stepfather to all of us. He took on a large family and supported us; he had a generous heart. My fondest memories of him were about his sense of humour and dry wit. He was part of all of our lives for well over 20 years. I will miss him.

I got to know Rand thru Jody's sister, Marcheta. I will remember him as a person of good cheer and an engaging smile. He was fun to be around. It wasn't long before you knew of his steady faith and his love of golf. I'll miss the mini-tradition the four of us had of sharing Thanksgiving dinner at Marcheta's. He sure loved those chocolate pies Jody made! I thank God for our friendship. Rand, I hope the links in Heaven are as challenging as you want them to be.

My deepest condolences to Jody and his family and friends on his passing.
