On Saturday, October 20, 2012 God received a new angel, Raylee Blair, 11, of Midland. She was born on May 31, 2001 to Robert and Cristi Blair in Midland. Raylee was born a special needs child, and she was special to everyone who knew her. We were all drawn to her angelic smile and beautiful curly hair. Raylee grew and matured beyond the initial outlook and proved to be a daily demonstration of God's grace. It was a joy when she took you by the hand for a walk, because she took you by the heart. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and was in the 6th Grade at Fannin Elementary School. Raylee received therapy at MCRC, (Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center); she also attended SHARE (Sharing Hands A Respite Experience), at First Christian Church. Raylee will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will forever be in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Roy Blair and Richard Alderman.
Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory are her loving parents, Robert and Cristi Blair of Midland, TX, grandmothers, Jackie Dalbey of Gering, NE and Betty Alderman of Midland, TX, sister, Brittany Blair and brother Zachary Blair both of Midland, TX. Raylee also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the funeral home between the hours of 6-8pm. A funeral service has been scheduled for 10:00am, Friday, October 26, 2012 at First Christian Church with Reverend Mike Hunter officiating. Online condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
