Robert "Bob" London

February 11, 1938June 28, 2013

Robert (Bob) London of Midland, Texas passed away on the 28th of June at the age of 75. Bob was born February 11, 1938 to Charles and Lorene London who preceded him in death, along with his older brother Richard. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen, and children Reid London, Nicole Hartley, and Christopher Kidd. He also is survived by 6 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Bob graduated Northwestern University in 1960 where as a hurdler he was captain of the track team, and then went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Those who knew him know he loved to share stories about his rewarding experiences in both endeavors. A survivor of childhood Polio who was expected not to walk again took great pride in his track accomplishments and carried on an athletic lifestyle as an avid golfer and tennis player. He spent his entire professional career with Allstate Insurance, retiring with Allstate in 1993. He now looks forward to again seeing love ones lost and will proudly watch over the lives of his family members as he waits to be with them again one day.

A funeral service and reception will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1:00pm. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas. Sweet Soul Sisters

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Bob London! He brought smiles to our faces for 3 years when he would come in to Sweet Soul Dessert Bar for banana pudding, cobbler or pie for he and Mrs. London! We enjoyed the time spent and stories told. Mr. London was the last person we told of our closing because we knew we would not be able to hold back the tears with him. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think of him. Thank you for the memories, Mr. London!
