Mrs. Mason and Family - I am sorry that I am just now hearing of the loss of Brother Mason.  Although it has been many years, I will always remember how you and your family helped us when my Mom passed away in Montgomery.  You all have a very special place in my heart and I am thankful I had the opportunity to have Pastor Mason in my life when we needed him most!

Dear Marlene and family,
News of Bob's home-going triggered many memories of a good-hearted man. While I was in college, we twice had the privilege of singing at the church in Montgomery. It was a good church and a privilege for us to sing for there. Bob was a kind host to us (and a good preacher!). One time he even let me teach the Youth Class... I hope no permanent damage was done.
At Kelview, Bob was always kind to me. I will never forget that about him. His kindness made a difference. He was also generous with his smile. You could count on him looking at you and smiling. And I did count on that. His smile made my day better.
There was never any question in anyone's mind but that Bob Mason loved his wife, children and grandchildren. And more importantly, everyone could see how much he loved Jesus. 
May God give you rest during the next few weeks. And in spite of your loss may you find peace and even joy in knowing Bob is home - where he was created to be.

Marlene, I wish for you and your family the promise of comfort and peace made available to God's children, especially as they are enduring one of life's most challenging event, such as the loss of your husband and your children's father.  I recall your telling me of his plight a while back. We who knew you both at BHS have empathy with you.

I don't remember if you'll remember me or not, Marlene, but my husband, Ron, and I were members of Calvary Baptist Church when Pastor and you were there.  I'm really sorry for your loss, but know that you'll look forward to being with him again in Heaven.  May it help to know that many of your friends will be in prayer for your during your loss.  May God comfort you and the family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. But this we know, he is in the presence of Jesus!!!!
