Roy Lee Hill

Roy enjoyed fishing, walking every day and having coffee with his friends every morning. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the VFW in Midland. Roy was a car salesman in Midland and Odessa for many years at Pontiac, Ford and Chevrolet to name a few places. He also was an over the road truck driver.

Roy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Winnie Hill; his children, Buddy Poole and wife Sherrie, Sonny Poole, and Debbie Hill; grandchildren, Christy and husband Jody Walser, Melissa and husband Matt Wilcox, Amanda and husband Josh Tipton, Stephanie and husband Kelcey Reece, and Jennifer Bartlett; great grandchildren, Savanna and Trenton Smith, Austin Cooper, Gunner Wilcox, Cayden, Hunter and Hazel Tipton, Alexyss Helbig, Aubrey and Brennan Bartlett.

He is also survived by his brother, William Hill; and sisters, Mary and husband Bob Thomas, Marie and husband Dr. Larry Reynolds, Beatrice Quillian and Beatty Cline, and many nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Ora Hill; brothers, Ross Hill, Jr., George Hill, James Hill and Johnny Hill; sisters, Faye Tisdale and Edna Johnson; and a grandson, Jip Poole.

A visitation for Roy will be held Monday, August 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery, with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating.
